Sarah is a fully insured and registered member of the institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP).
Sarah has spent many years studying various aspects of animal biomechanics and rehabilitation. She Studied at Nottingham Trent University obtaining an FdSc in Sports Horse Management and Training and a BSc (Hons) in Equine Sport Science. After graduating Sarah was delighted to be offered a position in a veterinary practice where she studied with Bottle Green training before taking her Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons exams to gain her Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification. Sarah has continued to work in veterinary practices gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience of both first opinion and referral work. Whilst working as a Veterinary Nurse Sarah pursued her interests in animal rehabilitation studying with Middlesex University to gain a level 7 Advanced Certificate in Veterinary Physiotherapy AdvCertVPhys which was held at Nottingham University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Sarah has an excellent understanding and experience in both small animal and equine practice and she owns horses competing at both local and affiliated level.
Sarah utilises a combination of physiotherapy techniques including manual therapies, electrotherapies including therapeutic ultrasound therapy, Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, phototherapy, TENS and remedial exercise programmes individually tailored for each patient. Physiotherapy techniques and exercise therapies are utilised not only for treatment of conditions and injuries, but also to maintain and improve health, performance and wellbeing.
Sarah is currently studying towards her Canine Hydrotherapy Level 3 qualification to add to the list of available treatments in the future. She continues to undertake professional development to ensure her knowledge and techniques are advanced and cutting edge, aiming to provide the best possible care.
